What you can check

What your result means

A live image shows that this browser can open the selected camera. The displayed width and height describe the current stream, not the camera's maximum resolution.

A frame-rate setting, if shown, is the stream's reported setting. It is not a measurement of frames displayed each second. Mirroring changes only this page's preview.

Helpful tips

If no image appears, check camera permissions, a privacy shutter, the connection, and other apps using the camera.

Improve the lighting or gently clean the lens following the maker's guidance if the image is unclear. Stop or hiding the tab ends camera access.

Frequently asked questions

Does the tool record or upload video?

No. It displays the camera stream in this page. It does not record or upload the preview.

Does this also open my microphone?

No. Camera access is requested with audio off. Use the Microphone Test to check an audio input.

Why are camera names missing before I start?

The browser may hide device names until you allow access. Start camera first, then check the device selector.

Does Stop remove camera permission?

It ends this page's active camera stream. The browser may keep its saved permission, which you can change in browser settings.
