Dead Pixel Test

Look for dark, bright, or stuck dots on your screen using eight solid colours. Change each colour yourself and inspect the display at your own pace.

Screen colour check

Click, tap, Space, or Right Arrow moves forward. Left Arrow goes back. Escape or a long press exits.

How to Use Dead Pixel Test

  1. Select Start full-screen test. If full-screen mode is blocked, the test still fills the browser view.
  2. Scan the screen on black, then click, tap, press Space, or press Right Arrow for the next colour.
  3. Use Left Arrow to go back. Check all eight colours.
  4. Press Escape or hold a long press to leave the test.

What you can check

What your result means

A dark dot on a bright background may be a dead pixel. A dot that stays red, green, or blue may be stuck. A bright dot on black may be a hot pixel.

Dust can look similar. Clean the screen gently with a suitable cloth, then check the same spot again. This test helps you inspect a screen; it cannot diagnose or repair it.

Helpful tips

Use comfortable screen brightness and scan slowly. The colours change only when you choose.

If a mark remains, take a photo and check the seller's or manufacturer's pixel policy. Do not press hard on the screen.

Frequently asked questions

Can this test fix a stuck pixel?

No. It shows solid colours for you to inspect. It does not repair pixels or flash colours automatically.

What if full-screen mode does not open?

The test fills the browser view instead. Browser bars may remain visible. You can still change colours and leave with Escape or a long press.

How can I tell dust from a pixel fault?

Dust may move or wipe away after gentle cleaning. A pixel fault tends to stay in the same place as the background colour changes.

Does one faulty pixel qualify for a replacement?

That depends on the seller, manufacturer, model, and purchase terms. Check the policy that applies to your screen before assuming a replacement is available.
